Statiscore is run by Statiscore Inc., a company registered in Ontario, Canada. This page explains exactly what we collect and what we do with it. It is written to be read, not to be skimmed past.
Statiscore is currently a closed test, available only to people we have invited by email.
What we collect
When you sign in with Google, Google gives us:
- your email address
- your name and profile picture, if your Google account has them
- an identifier Google uses for your account
As you use Statiscore, we store:
- a display name and handle, created from your email when you join and changeable afterwards
- the picks you make — which game, which side, and when — and the result once the game finishes
- anything you write in a group or message, if you use those features
We do not ask for, and do not want, your phone number, address, date of birth, or payment details. Statiscore is free and takes no payments.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers.
- We do not run advertising, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics.
- We do not use your email for marketing. We will only email you about your account or something you asked us to send.
Your picks are not private forever — by design
A pick is hidden from other people until the game starts. After it starts, other players can see what you picked. That is the point of the game: scores mean nothing if nobody can check them. Your pick history and your Statiscore are visible to other players.
Where your data lives
In a Supabase database hosted in Canada (Central region). The app itself runs on Vercel, which serves pages from servers around the world. Signing in is handled by Google — we never see your Google password.
Game schedules, scores and betting odds come from third-party sports data providers. We send them nothing about you; we only read public sports information.
How long we keep it
For as long as you have an account. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your profile and the personal information attached to it.
One honest exception: results of games, and the odds attached to them, are part of our historical record and are not personal to you — those stay. Where we keep a record of a settled pick for scoring integrity, it is detached from your identity.
Your rights
Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA) gives you the right to see the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, and to ask us to delete it. Email adam@statiscore.com and a real person will answer.
Security
Access to your data is restricted at the database level, not just in the app, so a bug in one screen cannot expose another person's information. We keep the smallest amount of personal information we can while still running the game.
No system is perfect. If we ever discover a breach affecting your information, we will tell you and the relevant authorities, promptly and in plain language.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that affects you, we will say so in the app rather than quietly editing this page.
